![]() ![]() in the Sufficiency category, if not High Sufficiency. Honolulu - Dropped from 2018 rankings, but IMO should at least punch in the same class as the likes of Des Moines, Madison, Tulsa, Halifax etc. Phoenix (Gamma) - Phoenix is just too big for this category, you have some real C-tier global cities in this classification, I think it can belong with the Gamma+ category. Seattle (Beta-) - Seattle is booming and has Microsoft and Amazon in its backyard, think it deserves to be alongside Philly, Denver, Calgary. ![]() I think it's a cut above Dallas, Atlanta and Vancouver. And a rank above Seattle and Detroit.īoston (Beta+) - Boston is an Alpha- world city, I think it fits in well with the other cities in that grouping. but that would put them on the same sphere as LA andĬalgary (Beta) - Calgary punches well above its weight often but I think it's just overmatched in a grouping with Philly and Denver. Maybe my real gripe is that DC and SF are too low. Houston (Alpha-) - Is this because it gets a ton of connecting flights? Ranked alongside SF, DC, kind of silly. Miami (Alpha) - shouldn't be a class above DC and SF even if there is a strong Latin presence. ![]() Reposting my question marks from another thread on the GaWC: Some very strange rankings for the North American cities. ![]()
